Every five years, foam fire extinguishers are required to be 'discharge tested and refilled in line with British Standards. This means that the foam inside the fire extinguisher must be removed and the fire extinguisher refilled with new foam. The old foam must be disposed of. When using the Firemart Eco foam fire extinguisher, the eco foam fire fighting agent has virtually no negative environmental impacts and the agenthas been granted an independent sustainability certificate by the internationally recognised Milieukeur label. The fire fighting foam agent, almost completely biodegrades and does not contain any potentially harmful perfluorinate surfactants.The fire extinguisher should be refilled with the same eco foam fire fighting agent if it has been dishcarge tested or used.

Guarantees: This fire extinguisher is guaranteed for five years from date of purchase provided that the fire extinguisher is serviced from new in accordance with BS 5306: Pt 3 by a trained, competent fire service engineer using genuine spare parts. This guarantee does not cover defects caused by accident, misuse or neglect.

BS EN 3 Kitemark: The eco foam fire extinguishers offer the BS EN3 Kitemark. In order to achieve the KiteMark, fire extinguishers are subjected to rigorous testing by BSi to ensure consistent quality in the products and at all stages of production.
