To provide fire protection in your domestic garage, we would recommend using a dry powder fire extinguisher combined with a fire blanket to offer maximum fire safety protection. Dry powder fire extinguishers are safe to be used on live electrical equipment and will effectively extinguish a car or vehicle fire as well as offering protection from fires caused by other equipment in your garage including electrical equipment and any materials that you store in your garage (such as paint etc.).

Garage Fire Extinguisher Information

Dry Powder fire extinguisher offer protection against class A, B and C fires, please see the Firemart fire extinguisher advice section for further information on the different uses of dry powder fire extinguishers. All fire extinguishers are supplied complete with wall mounting bracket making them quick and easy to wall mount in your garage. If you garage is attached to your property then you may also wish to consider one of our Interlinkable smoke alarms. If the alarm in the garage is activated then this would automatically alter you to a fire safety emergency providing you with valuable additional time to evacuate your home.
