When to use a fire blanket?
Fire blankets are suitable for kitchen fires such as those involving cooking oil and fats pans etc. They can also be used for fires such as those in waste bins and for clothing fires. Fire blankets are suitable for use on any fire that can be smothered or wrapped.

Fire blankets work because the smothering/covering action removes oxygen therefore putting out the fire.
