Automatic fire extinguishers are ideal for use in locations that are left unattended or are not supervised such as boat engines, computer and electrical cabinets, boiler rooms, garages, small warehouses, stores, site cabins, remote rooms in buildings and so on. The Firemart automatic fire extinguishers come in a variety of sizes and are available in ABC Dry Powder format and HFC 227 clean agent gas.
The dry powder automatic fire extinguishers offer protection against Class A, B and C fires making them suitable for use in a variety of environments as they will extinguish most fires. Automatic fires are only suitable for use in indoor environments and please remember that they work best in sealed rooms where doors and windows are kept closed. Please also note that dry powder fire extinguishers will leave a powder residue when they have been used. The fire extinguishers are safe for use against electrical fires but please note that they will leave a residue when used.




How do they work?
Each fire extinguisher is supplied complete with a sprinkler mechanism. The bulb glass has an activation temperature of 68oC and the fire extinguisher will be activated when this temperature is reached i.e. when a fire occurs. The fire extinguisher will then empty and discharge the contents in the local area putting out the fire.
Extinguishing agent?
The fire extinguishers are filled with ABC Dry Powder which will combat most types of fire including class A, B and C.

How do I calculate which size of fire extinguisher I need?
The Dry Powder version is supplied in 4 sizes (2kg, 3kg, 4kg and 6kg) and a 6kg fire extinguisher will cover an area of approximately 25m3. How do I fix an automatic fire extinguisher?
The fire extinguishers are supplied complete with a mounting bracket which can be quickly and easily mounted onto a ceiling. The extinguishers should always be located on a ceiling.
