Automatic fire extinguishers are ideal for use in locations that are left unattended or are not supervised such as boat engines, computer and electrical cabinets, boiler rooms, garages, small warehouses, stores, site cabins, remote rooms in buildings and so on. The HFC 227 automatic fire extinguishers are filled with HFC 227 whcih is a clean agent gas and does not have a negative impact on the environment or ozone layer when it is used. The gas does not leave any residue and knocks down flames in seconds. The cost of HFC 227 units is higher than using ABC Dry Powder fire extinguishers but costly cleaning bills will be reduced. The HFC 227 automatic fire extinguishers are perfect for protecting electrical equipment such as computers and servers because they do not leave a residue. The gas is a clean agent that will not damage the equipment that it is protecting and it does not present any health risks to people.

How do they work?
Each fire extinguisher is supplied complete with a sprinkler mechanism. The bulb glass has an activation temperature of 68oC and the fire extinguisher will be activated when this temperature is reached i.e. when a fire occurs. The fire extinguisher will then empty and discharge the contents in the local area putting out the fire.

Extinguishing agent?
The fire extinguishers are filled with HFC227 and teh fire extinguisher will provide protection against class A, B and C fires as well as electrical equipment.

How do I calculate which size of fire extinguisher I need?
The HFC 227 version is supplied in 3 sizes (2kg, 3kg and 6kg) and a 6kg fire extinguisher will cover an area of approximately 10m3. If a room contains windwos/doors that are open then the effectiveness and fire fighting capabilities of the fire extinguisher will be greatly reduced. How do I fix an automatic fire extinguisher?
The fire extinguishers are supplied complete with a mounting bracket which can be quickly and easily mounted onto a ceiling. The extinguishers should always be located on a ceiling.
