Where do you ship to?
We are only able to ship within the United Kingdom to UK mainland delivery addresses (excluding certain parts of the Highlands etc.) We are not able to ship to Northern Ireland or export outside of the UK.

Why are your products so cheap?
FireMart is a 100% online business that means that we can pass all overhead and operational savings directly to our customers. We have many years experience within the fire industry meaning that we can source the highest quality items at the best prices for our customers.

Shipping charges:
At the present time, we are offering FREE SHIPPING ON ALL ORDERS to the United Kingdom. Please note that our standard delivery charges may be re-introduced at any time. Our standard shipping charge for all orders up to a value of £100.00 plus VAT is £4.50 per order. Orders of £100.00 plus VAT and over are shipped free of charge. Shipping charges will automatically be calculated when you place your order.

Do you install and maintain fire equipment?
No. As we are an online business only we do not offer installation and maintenance series. However, customers can find details of Fire Protection Engineers from directory enquiry services such as Yell or appropriate Fire Extinguisher Trade Organisations. We do not undertake the installation or servicing of equipment in order to ensure that we are offering our customers the most cost-effective supply of new equipment. It is recommended that all businesses and organisations employ the services of a reputable fire protection company to ensure that fire extinguishers and ancillary equipment are installed and maintained in line with relevant legislation.

What approvals do your fire extinguishers offer?
All of our stndard red fire extinguishers are CE marked and some standrad models are also Lloyd’s Register approved. Our Kitemarked fire extinguishers are manufactured and certified to BS (British Standards) EN 3 Kitemark.

Do you supply full extinguishers?
Yes, all of our fire extinguishers come fully charged.

Can your extinguishers be refilled?
Yes, all of the extinguishers we supply can be refilled. We would always recommend that you employ the services of a Trained, Competent Fire Protection Engineer for all aspect of Fire Extinguisher Maintenance and Servicing. Please see our ‘Fire Safety Advice’ section for more information.

How do I know which fire extinguishers I need?

How do I place my order?
All orders must be placed via our website. We are not able to accept purchase orders or orders by telephone. Simply visit our website at www.firemart.co.uk and choose the product(s) that you wish to purchase and follow the steps as promoted. Can you ship internationally?
Unfortunately no, we can only ship orders within the United Kingdom at this time.

When will I receive my order?

Can I collect my order?
Unfortunately, at the present time, items are available for delivery via courier only and are not available for collection. Orders placed before 2pm will be delivered the next working day (excluding Bank Holidays, Public Holidays and weekends).

I can’t find the product that I want?
No problem. We have access to 1000s of products from our wide range of UK suppliers. Send us an email with your requirements and we will do our best to find the product for you.

I don’t have a credit card, can I still buy from you?
Yes! Simply choose PayPal and you can quickly and easily register an account and purchase from us. We also have a payment by cheque/BACS option where you can place you order online and your order will be shipped once cleared funds have been received. Please see the ‘Payments’ section for more information.

How much do you charge to send my order?
At the present time we have FREE SHIPPING on all orders! Our standard shipping charge for all orders up to a value of £100.00(net) is £4.50 plus VAT per order. Orders of £100.00 (net) and over are shipped free of charge. Shipping charges will automatically be calculated when you place your order. All of our products are delivered using a third party courier service. You are requested to check the condition of your delivery before signing to accept the goods. If you do see any damage, this must be noted on the delivery paperwork: please ensure that this is recorded on your copy of the paperwork and also on the drivers paperwork. If a delivery appears to be significantly damaged, you can refuse to accept the goods. Please see the 'Shipping and Returns' section for further information.

Are fire extinguishers supplied with brackets?
Yes, our smaller fire extinguishers (such as 1kg and 2kg powder and 1ltr and 2ltr foam and 2ltr wet chemical fire extinguishers) are all supplied with a warp around bracket and larger water, foam and powder fire extinguishers as well as carbon dioxide are supplied with an appropriate wall hanging bracket that is supplied in the box. We also supply a wide range of fire extinguisher wall mounting backboards, fire extinguisher stands and fire extinguisher fire points.

Where can I find MSDS information?
Please email us and we would be happy to send you MSDS (material safety safety sheet) information.

Are fire extinguisher classified as dangerous goods for transportation?
When traveling by land within Europe, fire extinguishers are exempt from ADR legislation and the individual cardboard box that a fire extinguisher is sold in will be stamped with the wording 'UN1044' to show this. UN1044 indicates that an item contains pressurised gas. Fire extinguishers are exempt from the requirements of ADR as long as they are being transported in a solid cardboard box and that the fire extinguisher a safety pin inserted. A person should not be easily able to access the extinguisher.

When travelling by sea then an IMCO (Inter-Governmental Maritime Consultative Organization) approval will be required to transport fire extinguishers. You should contact your shipping line in advance of shipping fire extinguishers and they will be able to advise you further on the requirements ofthe IMCO. We will be pleased to provide any technical information that we can to assist you with this matter.

It is not normally possible to carry fire extinguishers by air as they are pressurised vessels.
